EIFS Synthetic Stucco Inspections in Naperville, IL

Synthetic Stucco - Dryvit®

Exterior Insulation & Finishing Systems Synthetic Stucco E.I.F.S.; also commonly known as Dryvit®, is an exterior wall cladding needing regular third-party inspection. It has an appearance similar to traditional hard coat stucco, however, maintenance is very different for the two different building materials.

For E.I.F.S. properties regular inspections and proper maintenance are key to long-lasting, problem-free, E.I.F.S. properties. The regular inspection assists in determining if the E.I.F.S. is functioning and installed properly.

Water penetration on the exterior cladding and penetration to the interior wall are common concerns that can lead to damage that is expensive and very extensive. Sometimes necessary maintenance and repair can be small and localized to a small area. Other times the extent of the damage can require the entire exterior cladding be removed and replaced. Damages can even result in interior repairs where windows, drywall, and finishings need to be repaired as well. The build-up of water penetration issues from poorly maintained E.I.F.S. can also lead to mold problems within the home further adding to the cost of repairs.
